Scríobhann sí filíocht cosuil le
Páistí: simplí, teoranta, ach macánta.
Éisteann sí leis an t-amhrán
Istigh. tá a fhios aici an
Rún na saoirse: ní dheonaítear é trí éacthaí. níl sí
Beannaithe le haon rud ná ní labhraíonn sí go
Héasca. is é atá le rá aici áit éigin idir teangacha.
Eatarthu tá an bhrí, duthain cosúil le scamaill. cé go mbíonn
A cuid focal cíotach agus
Neamhchinnte, lonraíonn rud éigin iontu fós.

Spéirbhean: literally, Sky Woman—a common character in Aisling or “Vision” Poetry, the vision of a woman both melancholy and able to point to or predict a more hopeful future.

She writes poetry like children: simple, limited, but honest. She listens to the song inside. She knows the secret of freedom: it is not granted through achievements. She is not blessed with anything nor does she speak easily. What she has to say is somewhere between languages. Between them is the meaning, transient like clouds. Although her words are clumsy and uncertain, something shines in them still.
